Exciting things are happening in the Home Sewing Industry, and all over America, consumers are learning how to enjoy the creative excitement of making your decorative projects using dazzling new techniques. The Sulky "Sew Exciting" Seminar is a 2 1/2 hour program subtitled Sew Exciting Seminar Fun with Sulky Blendables. We have Eric Drexler, a National Educator for Sulky of America coming to teach you some of the following techniques:

You have your choice of either a morning session which will be from 10:00a.m. - 12:30p.m or an afternoon session which will be from 3:00p.m. - 5:30p.m. The cost of the seminar is $20.00/adults or $15.00/youth. The Seminar will be held out at the Meadows Banquet & Conference Facility. If you're not sure where that is just give us a call and we'll give you directions. Classes Offered
1.) Live,Love,Laugh: I know this one is short notice, so we will do another beginner type runner for Spring/Easter later on, but for now, this one is a Valentine project. Make this 3 heart runner with applique on it . This project is from the new book "My Runners", and will look great on your table for your special "Valentine". You'll need your sewing machine, open toe ft, 1/4" ft., walking ft. natural sewing thread, and black rayon thread. Cost: $35.00 Offered: Mon. Jan. 30th, 5 - 8p.m. or Wed. Feb. 1st, 9 - 12p.m.
2.) Nancy's Fancy: This is a block of the month type project. It's a project that starts out easy and progress to challenging, wonderful way to put your sewing/quilting skills to the test. You will have some homework as well. Finished quilt size is 80x90. The cost involved will cover your top and pattern. The cost is: $175.00 and is offered:

3.) Pictogram Pillow: This is a class for those of you with Diamond or Diamond deluxe machines and have the Magestic Hoop and haven't learned to use it yet. We'll be making a pillow from one of the blocks out of Judy Nowicki's pictogram quilt. You need your sewing machine, embroidery unit, magestic hoop with clips, q ft. and when you sign up we'll give you a list of thread colors you'll need. We will be making a 16" finished pillow. Cost is: $35.00 Class offered: Mon. March 12th, 5 - 8:30p.m. or Thurs. March 15th, 9 - 1p.m.
4.) Quilting with Crochet: Have you seen this new card from Husqvarna Viking? Wonderful new designs made with 30wt cotton thread to look like they are crocheted. We're going to be making a pillow using a design from this card. It will not only let you get a feel for how the crochet looks but give you a chance to do some freestanding work as well. You will need to sign up early for this class as your thread will be provided for you as part of your class fee, and you will have a choice of colors but we'll need to know in plenty of time to make sure we have what everyone will want. Otherwise you'll be given a supply list for class. We'll provide the majority of what you'll need but since you have your choice of threads, we're going to let you pick out your own fabric accent choice based on your thread color, so don't wait too long to sign up. Cost: $32.00, and offered on: Mon. April 23rd 5-8 pt. 1 & Mon. April 30th, 5 - 8p.m. pt 2. or Wed. April 26th, 9 - 12 pt. 1 & Thurs. May 3rd, 9 - 12 pt. 2
5.) Six Halves Make a Whole: Want to learn how to cut several shapes from one ruler. There are 10 in this quilt, which is designed to teach you several differently designed blocks. Once you've mastered all the lessons, you'll have a beautiful quilt top. There will be multiple sessions required for this one. The finished quilt size is 62x78. You'll need your machine, natural sewing thread, rotary cutter, pins, and fabric marking pen. You're ruler will be part of your kit which will include your quilt top fabric, book/pattern, batting, and ruler. Cost: $169.00 Class offered: Evening sessions are: Mon. May 7th & 14th, Wed. 23rd, & Tues. 29th 5 - 8p.m. or Daytime sessions: Wed. May 9th & 16th, Thurs. 24th & 31st, 9 - 12p.m.
